In 2005, Maserati Reparto Corse working with Risi Competizione, the racing team founded and directed by Giuseppe Risi which is located at Maserati of Houston, campaigned the Maserati MC12 in the American Le Mans Series of races in the United States.
The MC12 has since gone on to win the FIA GT series in Europe and is widely acknowledged as one of the most outstanding car designs of its era.

The Maserati Birdcage is one of the most unique, iconic, and quickest sportscars ever designed. It rose to fame in the 1960s, driven by world class talents like Stirling Moss and Masten Gregory. The name was derived from the unique chassis, which was constructed of two hundred pieces of small gauge tubing.

In 2004, Maserati of Houston’s special Maserati Trofeo competed in the 24 Hours at Daytona.
The Maserati Trofeo from Maserati of Houston, entered by Risi Competizione, the racing operation at Maserati Ferrari of Houston, was the only Maserati to finish the rain soaked race. Driven by the team of Matteo Bobbi, Ralf Kelleners, and Anthony Lazzaro, the Maserati Trofeo GT Light crossed the finish line, the first Maserati to race and finish internationally in almost 40 years.
