Maserati of Houston is one of the very few dealerships in the United States to race Maseratis at the world class level.

In 2005, Maserati Reparto Corse working with Risi Competizione, the racing team founded and directed by Giuseppe Risi which is located at Maserati of Houston, campaigned the Maserati MC12 in the American Le Mans Series of races in the United States.

The MC12 has since gone on to win the FIA GT series in Europe and is widely acknowledged as one of the most outstanding car designs of its era.

In 2004, Maserati of Houstonâ€™s special Maserati Trofeo in the 24 Hours at Daytona was the first Maserati to race internationally in 30 years. The Risi Competizione team had a crew made up of Germany's Ralf Kelleners, the American, Anthony Lazzaro and Italy's Matteo Bobbi.

Founded in 1997, Risi Competizione is the Ferrari of Houston-based racing team, directed by Giuseppe Risi, that has been very successful in sports car racing in both Europe and the United States.
